How Often Should You Bath a Lhasa Apso?

I am getting a lhasa apso soon, well 8th of May. They have lots of hair so i was wondering if anoyone could tell me how often you wash their hair and get the hair cut. Thank you

First off like I tell my clients why get a long coated breed just to end up cutting the coat off this never made sense to me. The coat makes the breed so why cut it. This breed dose not get clipped but people do it any way because there is no set cut for this breed clipping will determine how fast your dogs coat grows. It could be every 6-10 weeks.

As far as bathing every 2 weeks is fine if you are using a good soap free shampoo. Next I recommend if you wish for your dog to be clipped have a groomer do this no offense but I can always tell the self groom dogs sadly they don't look to good.

Yes they have allot of hair that's the breed and that's what makes them beautiful.

if shes living inside then you can wash her as often as you think she needs it. as for clipping, you can get it done as much as you think she needs it depending how long you want her coat to stay. obviously the shorter you want to keep it the more often it will need clipped.
if she stays outside much then thats a different matter. she will obviously need her coat for heat & you cant wash her much because it removes the natural oils in the coat which prevent her from getting soaked to the skin and retain heat. alternatively you'd have to buy her a coat but if shes outside most of the time that isnt really good enough.
